The London Sinfonietta and Theatre of Voices perform a concert of UK premieres from Danish composer Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, one of the key musical figures in Denmark of the New Simplicity movement during the 70s. Since then, Gudmundsen-Holmgreen’s music has often consisted of simple, clearly defined, richly contrasting – sometimes grotesque – objects that intertwine along independent paths.
