As part of the 2021 La Biennale, Theatre of Voices will be performing in the European premiere of a brand new stageversion of Saariaho’s opera 'Only the Sound Remains'.

Inspired by Japanese Noh theatre, the two parts of the opera are called 'Always Strong' (originally 'Tsunemasa') and Feather Mantle (originally 'Hagoromo'). 

In 2018, Theatre of Voices sang in the US, French, and Spanish premieres of the original production to great critical acclaim.
