The Heart of a Tree - Winter is Alive


Climate ExCHANGE - a live stream event as part of Winter is alive! festival in Madison, WIHear Theatre of Voices in Clare Langan's The Heart of a Tree that contemplates the centrality of these giants of nature to the planet's survival, and ours. Trees provide us with the very air we breathe. It is a glimpse into a future world where human beings have evolved and adapted in order to survive. This film is a timely metaphor of a world turned upside down by our disregard for nature and the planet.

Winter is Alive! is a multi-disciplinary art event to revision climate change and activate global relationship. Taking place during the late-winter season in Madison, WI, it will be an opportunity to reawaken a positive vision of the future. A German and US curatorial exchange envisioning the climate crisis.

With video works by Igor Simic, Clare Langan, Susanne Roewer, Oliver Westerbarkey, Daniela Müller and others.

The event will be streamed and is freely accessible to everyone.
