Theatre of Voices at the 2021 Venice Biennale

This week Theatre of Voices is travelling to Venice to perform in the 2021 Venice Biennale. On Saturday we are performing Kaija Saariaho's 'Only the Sound Remains' under the direction of Clement Mao-Takacs. This year Saariaho is also receiving the 'Golden Lion of Lifetime Achievement' from La Biennale. Congratulations from all of us! On Sunday we will be performing both Lang's 'The Little Match Girl Passion' and Pärt's 'Stabat Mater'. Performing alongside us are string players from Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble. PCME is a Rome based orchestra that specializes in contemporary music.
