Countertenor
Miles Lallemant began his musical education as a chorister at Llandaff cathedral in Wales. While reading classics at Cambridge he sang with Jesus College Chapel Choir. He studied piano with Richard McMahon and Peter Katin. After a brief spell as a Latin teacher in a small boarding school in Yorkshire, Miles moved to Dublin to become a lay vicar at St Patrick’s Cathedral.
As an accompanist, Miles has worked with Opera Ireland, NI opera and Ulster Orchestra and he is the musical director of the Kensington and Olympia Festival of Music and Arts. In Denmark Miles appears as countertenor with both Theatre of Voices and Ars Nova Copenhagen.
